five minute friday {because}
Welcome to Five Minute Friday to where us bloggers are given a word prompt and write for just 5 minutes simply for the joy of writing.
No editing or backtracking. No need to be perfect. Just words freely flowing from my heart to yours. Set the timer and write away! Stop at the 5 minute mark no matter where you are!
Today’s Five minute Friday word is {BECAUSE}
{Begin}
I write because I love to use my voice in ways that I never could when I was younger. I write because it helps me to believe in who I am and what I am capable of doing in this world.
My voice was the one thing that was silenced the most as a child, and today as an adult, I use my voice to help not only myself but to connect with others who also walk that path of many unknowns.
I write because it brings me joy, and it relieves in me what gets trapped between silence and struggles.
I write because I am me, and no one else can take that away!
I write because God gave me the ability to express words in a way I never could. God knew this would be my outlet in hard times; in times that I would feel lonely and need a place to put my feelings, hopes and dreams!
I write to believe! I write because it helps me to see the very things I myself sometimes doubt.
I believe writing is a way to release the things that we have a hard time expressing; especially in moments of vulnerability.
I write because it makes me happy!
I write because its what makes me the person I am. I can finally say I am defined by the very gifts that God has given me.
Because of my writing it has made me a stronger person, a stronger healer, a stronger mom and wife and friend! Because of my ability to express words and thoughts. It helps me to connect with others and that is what God wants in this world, and that is connection with others.
{End}

” it relieves in me what gets trapped between silence and struggles” – I understand that – I do that – and writing helps me give it over to Him. So many truths in here – so glad God gave us this!
