My observation is that patience is a RESULT of inner work rather than something I can make myself do or be.
When I think of being patient I see myself as calm and willing to listen and wait….it’s being able to be present with things as they are, even if I want something different….it holds a feeling of trusting.
I have found it weird to be told I’m patient when I didn’t feel patient. I was just willing to wait, to hold my tongue, to listen etc….while inside myself I was anything but patient (calm, trusting). I was just willing to do things differently.
I’m not sure I really know what patience is.
But I know what willingness is.

Hi Gel . . . Yes I agree… I believe Patience is something God tests us with! I believe we are tested everyday and patience is a huge part of that! There are many sides to patience 🙂
