moving through with {good courage}

April 28, 2012Karen Courcy

A moment of content has flown over me like a cool breeze – air that I can breathe!

My therapist called me yesterday, and we spoke for a while, and we were reflecting on the weeks work, and he told me he was flipping through his old notes from class, and he came across this passage that reminded him of me and the work in this healing.

Psalms 27 – “the Lord is my light and my salvation—Wait on the Lord and be of good courage – be strong and take heart and wait for the lord”

Patience has always been a part of healing. I think of the times that I would workout at the gym when I lost all that weight, and I hit many plateaus along the way – well healing is a lot like the same – you come across parts in the path where it turns and you stop, and have to look around.

I am truly excited about where things are going now that we are moving out of this “unexpected” situation that has been such a huge derailment in my healing.

While talking on the phone, I felt a part of the familiar. My therapist always says to me “we make such a great team”.. and that we do! 5 years proof that this “works” this process of healing, trust and connection is the proof,  and no matter what comes up against my path; healing and connection preservers over anything.

So here I am.. I am feeling so lifted in this new place I am walking towards. This is the first weekend in months that I am content, and I just do NOT care about the cause of the derailment – because I, we, my journey to healing is a lot stronger than the derailment and the cause.

Psalms 27 – “the Lord is my light and my salvation—Wait on the Lord and be of good courage – be strong and take heart and wait for the lord”

Like life, there are turns and twists, there are stops and starts, there is wonderment and hardness – but we turn our face towards what we know and we keep walking – because eventually no matter what turn the path takes, it will lead you to the way out no matter what.

Please take a moment to comment! I love connecting with others!
