many moments of hope

August 2, 2012Karen Courcy

I love those moments where hope and grace meet together and equal a message to be heard and seen! I like to call those moments “messages from God”

I was at the store today, and I looked over to my left and saw this pretty pink book with the word “hope” on the front, and of course I picked it up, because all words hope, grace, and goodness always catches my attention.

I opened it up and the quote that was right there in front of me was:

“Hope begins in the dark . . . if you just show up and try and do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work; you don’t give up”

I looked at that, and it was as if someone was talking to me, and I ended up buying the small diary type book with great quotes of hope. it’s such a pretty book that can also be written in, I just love it!

When I got into the car, I got a phone call from my therapist, and gave me such encouraging words from the work and the goodness found in that – a nice reminder of hope and a reminder of what the word dance means.

I got home and was met with my wonderful husband making dinner for me and the boys; giving me a break from the busy day I had, and it was a healthy yummy dinner.

A text from my friend Johanna just saying the words “thinking of you, love you girl”

I love those moments of hope and grace that just show up over and over in a row.. it’s Gods way of saying “love is all around you no matter what path your on – hard or good”

I LOVE the quote that I saw! It’s so true! showing up, waiting, working hard, and no matter what hope is always right there in front of you to grab hold of.

Tonight I will say a prayer thanking God for the many small moments of hope that showed up today – it certainly has changed how I feel inside, and I am feeling so much stronger today than I did just a couple of days ago on that harder path!

I am going to use this book a lot; giving myself reminders of those many moments of hope that are right here in front of me.

Please take a moment to comment! I love connecting with others!
