Five Minute Friday {Keep}
Welcome to Five Minute Friday to where us bloggers are given a word prompt and write for just 5 minutes simply for the joy of writing.
No editing or backtracking. No need to be perfect. Just words freely flowing from my heart to yours. Set the timer and write away! Stop at the 5 minute mark no matter where you are!
Today’s Five minute Friday word is {KEEP}
{START}
My hopes for the new year was going to be fresh, new, new changes, a new outlook, a new way of looking at things . . . . . my hopes for this new year was crushed when my mom passed away on January 6th sending me into an emotional tailspin.
My healing path has always been about forward motion – “keep going” “keep pushing forward” “keep working hard” “keep my head above water” “keep in the good connection that is around me” … but then there were times when I sat and paused and felt I couldn’t keep going any further.
But what I know about myself is – I will keep going .. only this time, it’s different. This time I am allowing myself to stop in the pauses and still see it as “moving forward” I may not be physically moving, but emotionally I am always healing forward.
When my mom passed away a month ago – 1 month ago today to be exact.. something changed in me, and my fight forward is a little different. I am driven to move forward in ways my mom never could. I am going to keep going because my mom never had the chance to do that and I am honoring her in new fight forward …
I believe God gives us that small spark inside of us called “KEEP GOING” .. because he holds in us to have that strength to move towards and out of hard struggles to get closer to him, and by honoring our struggles, we honor god and ourselves!
If you are finding yourself in a struggle.. KEEP GOING!

You are so strong! How proud of you she would be if she could read your post. I love the point that you made, how we can keep moving forward no matter what pace. Thanks for the inspiration and may God continue to heal and bless you <3
