five minute friday {fill}
Welcome to Five Minute Friday to where us bloggers are given a word prompt and write for just 5 minutes simply for the joy of writing.

Today’s Five minute Friday word is {FILL}
{Start}
Today was a day where my heart was filled not by others, but by the action of filling others with love and joy!
I gave someone a gift today that they did not expect and their heart was filled with joy!
Honestly, I don’t know this woman too too well, I see her a couple of times a week – but what I do know is, she loved my “LOVE BRACELET” that I had on the other day, and her face when she saw it lit up and asked me where she could find one – that she has been looking all over for one like that.
I have a couple of those bracelets and this morning while I was getting ready I put the silver “love” bracelet on and as I was driving to the Dr’s I go to in the morning, I took it off and thought to myself “I am going to give her this, not for any reason but pure joy of giving.
I got to the office I handed her the “love” bracelet and she was tearfully surprised!!! she was filled with joy and couldn’t believe I would do something like that for her; someone I don’t know very well.
What I do know is, this is a woman who is really sincere every morning that I see her. Her face when she saw the bracelet was a look of desire for something that she would really love to have and I sense that by giving her this, it would fill her heart.
She said to me “you have made my day, you have made the next couple of days, this is the sweetest thing anyone has done”..
It truly filled my heart and I believe that God creates these moments in us as a way to connect with others through him. When we go into the giving with no expectation for getting anything back in return, that is the true gift of giving through God.
God fills our heart with ways to connect with others and its up to us to embrace those giving moments as an act from God from one person to another. God gives us gifts everyday, we just sometimes miss it.
Pay attention to all that is around you, because you never know when you might fill someone’s heart with unexpected joy!

I love it when people share stories of how they listened to God prompting… and how it blessed and encouraged them and someone else. What a great day that must have been! Thanks for sharing.

Favorite line: “When we go into the giving with no expectation for getting anything back in return, that is the true gift of giving through God.”
So good to hear your thoughts and experience on this.

“It truly filled my heart and I believe that God creates these moments in us as a way to connect with others through him.” This is so very true … if we pay attention God opens these connections up for us every day. Loved your post, so uplifting and full of blessings.
Thank you.

So wonderful of you!! Somehow, I like giving more than receiving gifts 🙂 It’s the pleasure of seeing someone happy that makes me happier.
You sure have a heart of gold.
