doing something different . . .

February 23, 2012Karen Courcy

I have gotten quite a few emails recently from readers, and from other writers who have asked me who I am, and what is the healing journey I am on?

I have written small bits and pieces here and there about my past, the pain I endured as a child, and many other short stories of thoughts that I had. I guess I never gave too much insight about who I am, and why I am on this path to healing.

One writer in particular who is my mentor, actually suggested that I create a “Karen’s Story” page off my blog, so that my audience can get a feel for who is this “Karen” that is writing, and to put a story to the person writings these daily blogs.

This is an amazing journey, and I guess it would only makes sense to open up about who I am and how I got here.

So I have decided that I am going to create a “My Story, The Journey” page so that people can read a a little about who I am, and what got me here today.

At first I wasn’t sure about the idea, it felt a little self absorbing to me – all I want to do is blog about my healing and help others in the process, but I was reminded the other day that sometimes you have to give a story to the story.

I have to admit, I was challenged when I was told I should do this, it was hard to write, harder than any of my blog entries that I have written, but if this is one more step towards my healing, than I am open to that.

Here is my page – MY STORY – THE JOURNEY  <–click on the link
